About Me

Hi! My name is Kim.  I am 29 years old and live in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  I work as a full time nanny and absolutely love my job.  I love working out, baking, and being outdoors.
I am still kinda new to blogging but I am really enjoying it!  I am finally in recovery from an eating disorder that controlled my life for over 15 years.  I thought blogging would be a good way to show some progress I have been making.  You may find things like new foods I have been trying, recipes, daily eats, exercise stuff, thoughts and struggles I deal with, and who knows what else.  It will be a nice way to keep me accountable of my recovery as well.  I can look back and see how far I have come with my food, exercise, and over all happiness!
You will also find a lot of posts about my job as a nanny.  Things I do with the kids, fun activities, crafts and recipes we do together, and just the fun life of a nanny.  Who knows? Maybe it will make you want to change careers!

I got married in June 2012 to my wonderful husband Jim.  He is super supportive in everything I do and I love him!

We have a super crazy puggle named Sadie who loves to give kisses.

Also two crazy kittens, Satchmo and Ella.

I love challenging myself with hardcore workouts and races.  I did my first triathlon a couple years ago and had such a blast!  I am learning how to make working out more of a hobby instead of a chore.  I always have enjoyed it, but as I got further into my eating disorder, it became a necessity and lost some of the fun.  Exercise is a passion of mine because I like the way it makes me feel physically and mentally, not because I need to look a certain way.

I love baking as well.  My parents own a cookie bakery so I learned how mix, scoop, and taste test at an early age.  I like to experiment with different recipes, make changes, add different ingredients, and just have fun with it.  Baking is also more enjoyable since being in recovery.  I will actually allow myself to taste some of the goodies I create!! ED would have had nothing to do with that!

Well, that's me in a nutshell.  I hope you check back and see how things are going.

Feel free to contact me with any questions anytime!

    1. We met while we were student teaching at an elementary school. I was the 5th grade teacher and he was the band instructor. He helped me figure out how to use the copy machine :)
